Our Story
It all began one December evening when a simple request to my mom, Carmen, turned into an entrepreneurial spark. A group of us didn’t want to drive out for a night of fun, and my ever-generous mom agreed to be our chauffeur. As more friends began requesting rides, it became evident that there was a gap in the market. What started as a favor transformed into a business opportunity, and with my solution-driven mindset, I saw the potential to do so much more.
The original name, “Dial a Buddy,” was inspired by the idea of calling a friend for a ride. However, during one memorable trip with my friend, Jaco Lambrechts, affectionately known as “Klein Lampies,” and another friend, Louw, a suggestion was made. Why not give the company a local touch? And so, “Bel ‘n Pel” was born, thanks to their insight.
